This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described herein.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly and information collected automatically. Personal information includes: your mobile phone number (required for account creation and OTP verification), name, email address (optional), delivery addresses, order history, and payment transaction records. We do not store full payment card details - all payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor (Razorpay).
2. Automatically Collected Information
When you use the App, we may automatically collect: device information (model, operating system, unique device identifiers), IP address, app usage data (pages viewed, features used, session duration), crash reports and performance diagnostics, and approximate or precise location data (with your permission) to provide delivery services and show nearby restaurants. You can disable location access through your device settings, though this may limit certain features.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: create and manage your account; process and fulfil your orders; facilitate payments and refunds; provide customer support; send order updates, delivery notifications, and transactional communications; personalize your experience and show relevant restaurant recommendations; administer loyalty rewards, cashback, and promotional offers; improve our App, services, and user experience through analytics; detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with: restaurant and food vendor partners (name, delivery address, and order details necessary to fulfil your order); delivery service providers (delivery address and contact details); payment processors (transaction details for payment processing); analytics and cloud service providers who assist us in operating the App; and law enforcement or government authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or property. All third-party service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which it was shared.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL), secure token-based authentication (JWT), encrypted storage of sensitive credentials, and access controls limiting employee access to personal data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. We may also retain certain information as required by law, for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements), or for record-keeping obligations. When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Our App and related web services may use cookies, local storage, and similar tracking technologies to remember your preferences, authenticate sessions, and analyse usage patterns. You can control cookie preferences through your browser or device settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features.

The App may integrate with third-party services such as payment gateways, mapping and location services, delivery logistics providers, and analytics platforms. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
10. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct or update inaccurate or incomplete personal information; request deletion of your personal information; object to or restrict the processing of your personal information; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority. You can exercise most of these rights directly through the App's account settings or by contacting our support team.
11. Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account settings screen in the App. Upon deletion, your personal information, order history, wallet balance, reward points, saved addresses, and all other data will be permanently removed from our active systems. Certain data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 30 days and in anonymized form for analytics purposes. This action cannot be undone.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
13. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, the Grievance Officer for the purpose of this Privacy Policy is reachable at support@1rsmeal.com. The Grievance Officer shall address your concerns and resolve any discrepancies or grievances related to the processing of your information within 30 days of receiving a complaint.
